其实，exam只是examination的缩写形式，常用于英语的口语表达中。

一般是指为检查学生的知识或者能力水平而举行的正式考试，有时候也可以指临时考试。
E.g Our final exam is approaching.
我们就要期末考试了。
The exam is a breeze.
考试很容易过。
(breeze作名词的时候，除了表示微风外，还可以表示轻而易举的事或者表示小风波)
At the final exam time, there is a subdued atmosphere in the school.
在期末考试期间，学校里有一种压抑的气氛。
Don’t worry, you will pass the exam.
别担心，你会通过考试的。
Test 既可以作名词也可以作动词
一般指的是有具体目的的考试。
E.g You don’t need to worry too much about it; it’s just a test of your eyesight.
你不必如此担心，它只是对你的视力进行的小测试。
He didn’t test well.
他考得不好。
Quiz 作名词，表示小测验或者一些问答比赛
通常是指时间比较短，随时进行的口头或者书面的非正式小测验。
E.g We are having a quiz game.
我们正在进行问答比赛。
I like watching the quiz shows.
我喜欢看智力竞赛节目。
